Yamaha developed the Digital Sound Projector to make it easy to enjoy a true 5.1 Channel surround sound without the need for multiple speakers. The YSP-3050 is a single component solution that uses Yamaha Intellibeam to precisely direct sound beams throughout the room for true multichannel surround sound. The YSP-3050 includes 1080p-compatible HDMI connectivity and digital video upconversion for true high-definition picture quality from a standard DVD disc. The YSP-3050 features a built-in FM tuner and is compatible with XM Satellite Radio and XM HD Surround (tuner and subscription required). An iPod can be connected to the system with an optional iPod docking station.
