Nobuya Sugawa

Nobuya Sugawa studied at Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music. He has worked at subscription concert of NHK Symphony Orchestra conducted by C. Dutoit, and with most of Japanese orchestras, Philharmonia, BBC Philharmonic, Orchestra d'Harmonie de la Garde Republicaine, etc.
He toured with jazz bassist, R.Carter. He gave recitals at Wien Musikverein, Suntory Hall,etc. He has recorded nearly 30 CDs from EMI, Avex, Chandos and published "Play Along Series" by De Haske. He served as concertmaster of Tokyo Kosei Wind Orchestra from 1989 to 2010. A resident conductor of Yamaha Symphonic Band.
