Nikolay Khozyainov
Biography
Born on July 17, 1992 in Blagoveshchensk, a city in the Russian Far East, Nikolay Khozyainov is one of the most remarkable pianists of his generation. His musical talent was discovered very early and he began to play the piano at the age of five. In 1999 he continued his studies in Moscow at the Central Musical School by the Moscow Conservatory. At the age of seven he made his debut with the Handel Piano Concerto at the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory. He continued his Graduate Studies at the Moscow P.I.Tchaikovsky Conservatory until May 2015. At the present time he is pursuing an Advanced Degree at the Hannover Hochschule fur Music under the guidance of Professor Arie Vardi.
Khozyainov's musicality and formidable technique have thrilled audiences around the world. Highlights of his recital and concerto engagements have included sold out performances at: Carnegie Hall, London's Wigmore Hall, Lincoln Center, Kennedy Center in Washington, Salle Gaveau, Theatre de Champs-Elysees in Paris, Tchaikovsky Hall in Moscow, Tokyo's Suntory Hall and The Louvre.
Khozyainov has performed with Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra, Czech National Symphony Orchestra, Russian State Symphony Orchestra, The Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra, RTE National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland and many others. His growing list of awards include being youngest finalist of the XVI International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw, Poland (October 2010).
The newspapers were writing "Khozyainov is an amazing artist of an incredibly large scale, one can feel he is a continuation of the great Russian tradition of piano playing. Khozyainov was the closest one in the competition to Chopin Sensitivity. His performance had a spiritual sound"

In 2011, CD Accord released Khozyainov's CD (worldwide distributor Naxos) consisting of works by Chopin and Liszt. In 2012, Nikolay's CD was released by Chopin Institute in Warsaw consisting of works by Chopin. Nikolay has recorded 2 additional CDs for JVC Victor in Japan in 2012 (Beethoven, Schubert, Chopin, Liszt) and in 2014 (Ravel, Chopin, Liszt).
