Willie Parker is a music drummer/ music director out of Stratford Ct, a professional touring, and session drummer in the R&B, Hip Hop, Jazz, and Gospel industry. He began playing drums at age three like most musicians on his grandmothers pots and pans until his parents bought his first drumset for Christmas. His parents decided to get him his first real drumset at age seventeen.
Willie played drums at his church English Chapel under the leadership of Bishop Johnathan Powell, he would play in his school concert bands, from elementary until his senior year in highchool.
At age thirteen while attending a jazz concert in Stratford Southend with his grandmother Willie was given a opportunity to sit in with professional Jazz Band during a performance and captured the crowds attention with his talent which sparked something in him in which he knew he wanted to become a professional musician traveling the world doing what he loved.
Willie graduate high school in 1999 and a year later after auditioning he was given a full scholarship to Berklee College of Music.
While attending Berklee Willie would play in big production at the college showcasing some of the schools best musicians and singers doing a tribute to the late R&B Aliyah. Willie would his received his first endorsement by Zildjian cymbal while attending Berklee by artist relation rep James McGathey.
In 2002 while home on winter break from Berklee Willie was called to NYC where he would audition for the drum seat for Bad Boy artist "Faith Evans" where he was chosen to accompany Faith on the Usher 8701 tour. While he was on tour with Faith, he was approached about going out on tour with Warner Brothers R&B artist Jaheim, shortly after the 8701 tour had ended.
Willie would play drums with Jaheim for seven years and would become his music director.
He has been on countless T.V. shows such as: Late Night shows David Letterman, Conan O'Brien, Jimmy Kimmel, day time show Ellen, Good Morning America, Vh1-Soul Stage, MTV Unplugged, and 106 & Park just to name a few...
Willie has continued to work hard to build a name for himself and has had the opportunity to work with many artists such as Tweet, Mario, Carl Thomas, Bobby Brown, Teddy Riley & Blackstreet, Ginuwine, Chico DeBarge, Lauryn Hill, Javier, Patti LaBell, Salt & Peppa, Jon B, Stlyes P, 112, Latoya Luckett of Destiny Child, Young Jeezy, and Method Man.
