Will Anderson is the lead singer, pianist and songwriter for the band Parachute.
Parachute took root in the college town of Charlottesville, Virginia, where the group honed its mix of piano driven pop/rock, funk, and contemporary blue-eyed soul. Formed by three high school friends, the band found their popularity on the rise after the release of their first album, Losing Sleep in 2009.
Since then, Parachute has released two more full length albums, "The Way it Was" (2011) and "Overnight" (2013). They have sold out numerous headlining tours and opened for artists ranging from Kelly Clarkson, the Goo Goo Dolls, and Mat Kearney.
The band has sold over 3 million singles digitally. Their song "Kiss Me Slowly" climbed to number on on the iTunes charts and all three of their albums debuted in the top 10 of iTunes.
Anderson cites diverse influences in his songwriting, ranging from Billy Joel to Peter Gabriel; from U2 to the Dave Mathews Band.
Parachute is currently in the studio recording their fourth album with producer John Fields.
