No ordinary drummer, Wendell has already achieved two solo albums. On his first album, Above It All, he created expressive songs that showcase colorful, striking, yet sensual licks. Still his sophomore album, entitled Lewis Ave, brings a fresh spark to jazz with propulsive and airy poly-rhythms that create a composite of sensual beats, dramatic accompaniments and mesmerizing rhythms.
Wendell matured his craft by becoming an innovative drummer with versatility in playing various genres of music such as jazz, fusion, gospel, R&B, funk, blues, country, rock, blue grass, and reggae. He has performed alongside a many music greats such as Kip Moore, Tab Benoit, JT Hodges, Regina Belle, Brownstone, Olie Woodson, and Karen Clark Sheard just to name a few.
