Shawn Costantino is Director of Jazz Studies and Instrumental Music at Harvard-Westlake School in Los Angeles, CA, where he oversees a diverse curriculum of three big bands, six small combos, an intermediate jazz rhythm section class and a wind ensemble. Additionally, he serves as Chair of the Upper School Performing Arts Program at Harvard-Westlake School. Shawn is also on faculty at Occidental College in the Eagle Rock, CA, where he directs the jazz ensemble and jazz quintet, teaches jazz improvisation and serves as the jazz saxophone professor.
Shawn received his Master of Music from DePaul University in Chicago and his Bachelor of Music from the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami with additional doctoral studies at the University of Northern Colorado. His debut jazz release, Waltz for Anne, enjoyed critical success worldwide. Shawn is a Yamaha Performing Artist.
