Omar Martínez is a Puerto Rican trumpet player who is also an accomplished arranger, composer, and music director. At the age of 21 he relocated to Houston, Texas, where he continued his playing and became the brass arranger at the largest church in the United States, Lakewood Church. Omar spent 12 years working at Lakewood Church, which has over 50,000 members and is broadcasted to millions around the globe on a weekly basis while also freelancing and being one of the first calls for recording sessions in Houston. Omar then relocated to Los Angeles in 2019 and shortly after was hired by Cirque Du Soleil to be the trumpet player of one of their signature Big Top touring shows, 'LUZIA'. In September of 2020, Omar was offered the position of trumpet player & Music Director at another Cirque Du Soleil show production, 'JOYÀ', a residency show in Riviera Maya, México.
Omar has released original singles such as "Danza Primera" and "Blanco & Negro", among others, and has participated as a horn arranger and trumpet player on Grammy winning productions with artists Israel Houghton, Marcos Witt, and Danilo Montero. Omar also records, performs, and tours with world renowned artists such as Luis Miguel, Thalia, Camila Cabello, Jennifer Lopez, Drake, Ricardo Montaner, Frankie Valli, The Temptations, Tommy Sims, Gilberto Santa Rosa, TROOKO (Producer), and many more.
