NASHVILLE, Tenn. (March 23, 2006) Yamaha Corporate Artist Affairs proudly announced today that 17-year-old singing sensation
Teddy Geiger has joined its piano artist roster. Geiger will be using a Yamaha
P90 electronic piano on upcoming live dates in support of his new album
Underage Thinking, which is in stores now.
"Teddy is an excellent addition to our piano roster, and we are happy to support such a talented young musician at the start of what will prove to be a very long and exciting music career," says Chris Gero, corporate director of Yamaha Corporate Artist Affairs.
A self-taught musician who wrote and arranged complete compositions on guitar and piano by age 8, music has always been apart of Geiger's life. This early start in music has provided Geiger with a maturity to his songwriting that is wiser well beyond his 17 years. Geiger's self-penned debut single, "For You I Will (Confidence)," is currently climbing up the charts.
Geiger was discovered by producer Billy Mann while performing as a finalist on VH1's "In Search of the New Partridge Family." Mann helped secure the raspy-voiced teenager a deal with Columbia Records.
