Gwen Stefani Marches to the Beat of Yamaha Drums at 2005 Teen Choice Awards

Gwen Stefani performed her number one hit, "Hollaback Girl" from the album "Love, Angel, Music, Baby" on the 2005 Teen Choice Awards, which aired on Fox Tuesday, Aug. 19 at 8 p.m. Yamaha Drums added even more pep to her popular beats with three bass drums, two snares, and one tenor drum.

Hosted by Hilary Duff and Rob Schneider, the top names in film, television, music, and sports were honored, as chosen exclusively by teens.

When Stefani first burst onto the music scene, she was a member of the band, No Doubt. Tony Kanal, also a member of No Doubt and a Yamaha guitarist collaborated with Stefani on her solo album. As the lead vocalist for the group, Stefani brought to life the groups unique mix of popular music, reggae, rap and rock.

"Love, Angel, Music Baby," her debut album as a solo artist, also uses Stefani's eclectic musical background and incorporates beats featuring other artists like Eve, Dr. Dre and Andre 3000. The album sold over half a million copies in its first two weeks. If her past live performances are any indication, Stefani will have the audience pumped and the Yamaha drums pounding.
