Moses Gets a New Soundtrack

BUENA PARK, CA (Jan 31, 2005) — In the new LA-based musical of "The Ten Commandments," Moses is portrayed by Val Kilmer (an actor who portrayed a popular comic-book hero who favored bats and rubber suits). Leonard's version of "The Ten Commandment's" soundtrack is less gospel and morer rock-opera like the play "Jesus Christ Superstar" or "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat."

"The Ten Commandments" and Leonard are both supported by Yamaha. For the production, Leonard and his crew were issued six Motif keyboards with supporting racks, PLG cards, foot controllers and instructional DVDs. Leonard also uses Yamaha's latest drumming innovation, the DTXtreme drum kits and three drum thrones to emphasize the drama of "The Ten Commandments."

Leonard has also worked with other artists like Elton John, Fleetwood Mac, Madonna and Bryan Ferry and has written numerous award-winning soundtracks and singles.
