Mitchell Cooper is a Southern California native who started playing music in 4th grade, learning trumpet through the Antelope Valley public school system. He received his Bachelor’s in Trumpet Performance from California State University, Northridge studying under Jon Lewis. He’s had the pleasure of playing with John Daversa’s Progressive Big Band, Ron King Big Band, Gordon Goodwin’s Big Phat Band, Orkestar Mézé, and many more. Days after graduating from CSUN, Mitch got the full-time Lead Trumpet spot in the Disneyland Band. Soon after, he was given the opportunity to be the touring Lead Trumpet for Big Bad Voodoo Daddy. He currently holds both Big Bad Voodoo Daddy and Disneyland Band positions and is currently working on his own projects.
