The life of in-demand keyboardist Mark Burch is a very hectic one. He somehow manages to juggle his extensive touring schedule, numerous recording sessions, and even finds time for 6 member band project, "Raisin' Cain" with which he performs when at home in Nashville.
Mark's résumé is an impressive one. He has toured with some of the biggest country artists around including Mark Chesnutt, Rebecca Lynn Howard, Joe Nichols, and Vern Gosdin just to name a few. He is currently on tour performing with the incredible country sensation, Billy Currington.
When the self-taught musician started in the music business he was just sixteen years old. He got this opportunity by joining his mother's top-40 band. "I was scared to death out there at first! I went from barely playing "Let It Be" to learning four hours worth of songs. It was a great start though and it introduced me to the music biz," he says.
Stage fright isn't a concern for Mark Burch these days however. Mark has since played some of the most prestigious shows a musician can play, ranging from over 20 national TV performances such as the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, to sold out arenas opening for Brad Paisley on the "Time Well Wasted" tour this year. Mark isn't your typical keyboard player side-man either, unlike most out there on tour he is right up front on stage and is not only an incredible musician but also very entertaining to watch. After a show you can often "catch" Mark stage diving! When asked about diving into the crowd he said this: "It's really one of the biggest thrills to dive backwards onto a bunch of screaming fans! Sometimes they put me back on the stage and sometimes they take me out far away and set me down just as light as a feather. I have been only dropped once!"
