As saxophonist for Joey Fatone and Friends and AFTR PRTY, Dr. Lindsey N. O’Connor has performed with Joey Fatone (*NSYNC), Bobby Brown, Ryan Cabrera, Harley Cameron, Nick Carter (Backstreet Boys), Coolio, DSharp, Luis Fonsi, AJ McLean (Backstreet Boys), Wanya Morris (Boyz II Men), Ray Parker Jr., Dee Snider (Twisted Sister), Scott Stapp (Creed), Shawn Stockman (Boyz II Men), and Jeff Timmons (98°). She is the principal clarinet and saxophone of the Nevada Chamber Orchestra, and has recently played with the Henderson Symphony Orchestra, Vegas City Opera, and in musical productions on the Las Vegas Strip including Jesus Christ Superstar at the Tropicana and Guys and Dolls at the Westgate.
O’Connor is the Music Program Coordinator & Instructor of Woodwind Studies at the College of Southern Nevada, the fifth largest college of its type in the country, where she teaches courses including applied saxophone, jazz combo, saxophone ensemble, and woodwind ensemble. She is also the Woodwinds Paraprofessional for Clark County School District, the fifth largest school district in the country with over 85,000 students enrolled in secondary music programs. O'Connor is the Artistic Director of the Las Vegas Youth Saxophone Ensemble, as well as Conductor of the Las Vegas Youth Orchestras Wind Symphony. O'Connor frequently serves as an adjudicator and clinician, and has given several master classes, lectures, and solo performances as a guest artist throughout the United States. In 2024, she was the Woodwind Masterclass Clinician for the Music for All Summer Symposium High School & Middle School Concert Band Divisions.
Previously on faculty at Southern Utah University, Union Adventist University, and Faith Conservatory of the Fine Arts, O’Connor was also a Band Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She received a Doctor of Musical Arts in Saxophone Performance from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, a Master of Music in Saxophone Performance from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, a Bachelor of Music in Saxophone Performance from Michigan State University, and is a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music.
O’Connor’s professional memberships include the American Federation of Musicians, College Band Directors National Association, Las Vegas Flute Club, Music Teachers National Association, North American Saxophone Alliance, Pi Kappa Lambda (ΠΚΛ) National Music Honor Society, and Sigma Alpha Iota (ΣΑΙ) International Music Fraternity. She is the Region 2 Director (CA, NV, UT, AZ, CO, NM, HI) of the North American Saxophone Alliance, Higher Education Chair of the Nevada Music Educators Association, President of the ΣΑΙ Las Vegas Alumnae Chapter, and serves in the role of Music Director as an ex-officio member of the Las Vegas Youth Orchestras Board of Directors Executive Committee. O’Connor was recently awarded a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition from the United States Senate for her efforts to enrich the lives of Southern Nevada orchestra students each year, and the ΣΑΙ Diamond Sword of Honor Regional Alumnae Leadership Award for bringing honor and distinction to her chapter through exceptional community leadership.
O’Connor is a Yamaha Performing Artist and Vandoren Artist-Clinician.
