Korey Riker's Biography

Having released his fifth album, a mixtape coupling EDM tracks from the Jungle/DNB genre with jazz composition and improvisation titled RIR v DNB, Philadelphia based saxophonist Korey Riker has spent recent years touring the world performing with John Legend, Alicia Keys, Queen Latifah, Seal, and The Rock Orchestra.

Since moving to Philadelphia in 2004, Riker has made his mark on the local music scene. This has included several performances with The Roots, Jill Scott, Tye Tribbett, Eric Roberson, and many more. TV appearances include The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, The Voice, Ellen, & several other national and local broadcasts. Discography highlights include Riker's work on the Grammy award winning albums Greater Than by Tye Tribbett, Origen by Juanes, Grammy nominated Buenaventura by La Santa Cecilia, Latin Grammy award winning album Sirope by Alejandro Sanz, New Amerykah: Part One by Erykah Badu, Souled Out by Jhene Aiko, and Wise Up Ghost by Elvis Costello & The Roots. In 2016, as a recipient of the Kimmel Center Jazz Composer Residency grant, Riker was afforded the opportunity to further explore his work as a composer, producer and leader.
