Kevin Gebo is an international prizewinning trumpeter as well as an active freelancer and soloist in the Washington Metropolitan Area. Kevin has been a prizewinner/competitor in numerous competitions including the National Trumpet Competition (2003, 2005), the International Trumpet Guild Competitions (2003, 2004, 2006), Ellsworth Smith (2008) and the International Trumpet Competition in Memorium Joesph Haydn in Budapest, Hungary (2009). Kevin also frequently travels as a guest performer and clinician to universities and festivals across the country.
Kevin has performed in concerts with many distinguished groups and artists and his performances have taken him all across the country to such famous halls as Carnegie Hall, The Kennedy Center and Blues Alley as well as performances around the world in Canada, Austria, Australia and Germany. He was also the principal trumpet on the Naxos recording of William Bolcom's Songs of Innocence and Experience which won four Grammy Awards in 2006, including "Best Classical Album".
In December 2010 Kevin was invited by Julia Fordham and Paul Reiser to perform as a featured guest on their hit single UnSung Hero on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno".
