Jovan J. Dawkins is a hands-on type of musician that is not only heavy in his drum career, but also heavy in music production. He has been playing the drums for 23 years and professionally for 14 years. J. Dawkins was born and raised in Tacoma, Washington and was inspired to play the drums in church at the age of 1 and 2. Jovan has served as a session drummer and live drummer for artists such as Sir Mix-A-Lot, Jimmy Fisher & Contagious Praise, Travis Barker, MC Lyte, Mario, Jamie Foxx, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, and Snoop Dogg to name a few. Endorsements include ProMark drumsticks, Remo drumheads, Kickport, and Yamaha drums.
