California native, Josh Shpak (aka Joshoo), has created a name for himself as an in-demand studio musician, multi-instrumentalist, and genre-bending artist/producer. A jazz trumpet prodigy and protege of legend Clark Terry, Shpak began touring the world while still in high school. After receiving a scholarship to Berklee College of Music, Shpak moved from California to Boston, where he lived for 9 years. In his first few weeks at Berklee, Shpak helped found the rock band Ripe, with whom he toured from 2011-2020, playing hundreds of shows and major festivals like Bonnaroo, Electric Forest, and Firefly. Leaving Ripe in 2020, Shpak moved from Boston to Los Angeles. He is an avid writer and producer. Alongside production for other artists, the music for his alt-pop project, "Joshoo", has been featured on Netflix, Hulu, and in film.
He is currently on tour with art-rock legend, Peter Gabriel and has worked with and/or released music with Daniel Caesar, Peter Gabriel, Ripe, Remi Wolf, d4vd, Bipolar Sunshine, MAGIC!, Laufey, Role Model, The Marias, Maddie Jay, and more.
