John Deaderick was raised in Charleston, West Virginia. While in middle school, John began playing the drums, but after hearing a local jazz pianist, he decided to sell his drum set, buy a keyboard, and join a band. After a few years of college he moved to Nashville and started working as a professional musician. Since then, John has toured with Patty Griffin, The Dixie Chicks, James Taylor, and currently Michael McDonald. He has played on recordings by Emmylou Harris, The Dixie Chicks, Patty Griffin, Edwin McCain, Todd Snider, Mindy Smith, Jerry Douglas, Josh Rouse and Will Kimbrough. Currently, John is the bass player for The Bees (U.S.) and the keyboardist in the band Daddy (Will Kimbrough and Tommy Womack) and lives in Nashville, TN.
