John Bleuel is Professor of Music at the University of West Georgia. He is a former Fulbright grant recipient, and serves the Council for the International Exchange of Scholars as a Fulbright grant proposal reviewer.
He has performed on the Bridge New Music Series at Lincoln Center; the Eleventh, Twelfth, Thirteenth, Sixteenth, and Seventeenth World Saxophone Congresses; and national and regional meetings of the North American Saxophone Alliance. He has been Resident Guest Conductor of the Taipei National University of the Arts Wind Ensemble, Artist in Residence at National Chengchi University, and guest professor at four music schools in China - Shanxxi Normal University (conducting), the Central Conservatory of Beijing (saxophone), the Sichuan Conservatory in Chengdu (saxophone), and the Nanjing University of the Arts (saxophone).
Bleuel is a Yamaha Performing Artist.
