Jeff Pardo plays like an angel. Or at least, he gets most of his motivation from heavenly sources like churches, hymns and gospel music.
Pardo is a Yamaha keyboardist for two successful musical talents. He plays his favorite instrument, a Yamaha MOTIF 8 keyboard, full time for Denver and the Mile High Orchestra and he also performs with singer/songwriter, Taylor Sorensen.
Between Denver and the Mile High Orchestra and recording with Taylor Sorensen, Pardo has released three albums. Although Pardo has found success in Nashville, Tenn., he grew up in Arlington Heights, Il, a suburb of Chicago.
He was in third grade when he first played the piano while taking lessons from a neighborhood teacher. Pardo said, "Playing (piano) quickly became my main passion in life, and it continues to be to this present day."
After high school, Pardo enrolled at Belmont University in Nashville, TN, and studied with several master musicians. He played in various student studios and in clubs with other Nashville artists. Pardo also became involved with Indelible Grace music. Indelible Grace takes older hymn texts and sets them to new music for use in modern churches.
Also at Belmont University, Pardo met Taylor Sorensen and began playing for Sorensen in October 2002. Sorensen, with Pardo's keyboarding, released his debut album, "The Overflow," in March 2004.
While Pardo was recording with Sorensen, he also worked double duty as the keyboardist for the eclectic Christian gospel and big-band swing group, Denver and the Mile High Orchestra. Pardo and the band released their first album, "Good to Go," in June 2004.
When he is not playing his Yamaha Motif 8 with Denver and the Mile High Orchestra or touring with Taylor Sorensen, Pardo is producing recordings for Nashville independent artists and writing new songs. He also plays for various churches, theatres, clubs and festivals. Pardo has also appeared on ESPN "Outside the Lines," and at Soulfest, Rock the Universe and Purpose Driven Conference.
