Gil Kaupp moved to Munich, Germany after his studies and performed a large variety of musical styles as a session musician, playing everything from movie scores to salsa recordings. Gil's trumpet is heard on major motion pictures, TV news jingles, and many European CD releases.
In 2002, Gil relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada to continue his career on the famous Las Vegas Strip. In Las Vegas, Gil has performed on shows such as Phantom of the Opera, the Las Vegas Spectacular; Clint Holmes; Mel Brooks' The Producers; Little Anthony & the Imperials; and with such individuals as Jerry Lewis, Neil Sedaka, Frankie Valli, Il Divo, Michel Legrand, Andrea Bocelli, Frank Sinatra Jr., David Foster, and Michael Bublé. He has played with Barry Manilow, Aretha Franklin, Barbra Streisand, Bette Midler, and currently performs nightly with Donny & Marie Osmond at the Flamingo Hotel & Casino, as well as with Santa Fe & The Fat City Horns at the Palms Hotel & Casino every Monday night.
He has recorded with Gladys Knight & Bill Champlin, Luis Miguel, Donnie & Marie Osmond, Harvey Mason Jr. and Human Nature, Dionne Warwick, and Kool & The Gang. He has appeared on the national TV shows Oprah, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The View, and Good Morning America, and the CMAs. Gil also performed on the HBO special The Showgirl Must Go On with Bette Midler, and played 1st trumpet in the orchestra on the PBS special From Dust to Dreams.
Gil toured with Burt Bacharach in Brazil, and has performed on the Cleveland Clinic's Gala, playing 1st trumpet for Gloria Estefan, Queen Latifah, Carole King, Ricky Martin, Rita Moreno, Jordin Sparks, and Jon Secada.
