Frankie Perez was born in Puerto Rico and graduated from Berklee College of Music. He has been playing the saxophone for some of the most important artists in the Latin music world, as well as international artists. Some of the artists that he has performed and/or recorded with include Gloria Estefan, Celia Cruz, Gilberto Santa Rosa, Ednita Nazario, Olga Tanon, Luis Enrique, Ivan Lins, Carlos Santana, Kylie Minogue, Wyclef Jean, Isabel, Pantojas, Ricardo Arjona, Ketama, The Temptations, Brenda K. Starr, Humberto Ramirez and Ricky Martin (with whom he has been touring the world since 1999).
He was part of the "Red Hot Sax Night" Concert presented by Yamaha at the 2003 NAMM convention where he performed with fellow artists Phil Woods, Lennie Neihaus, Gray Foster, George Shelby, Eric Marienthal, and Dennis DiBlasio. Frankie's first solo effort is entitled "Mio" ("Mine").
