Elena Bonomo is a drummer, percussionist, bandleader and music educator based in the NYC area. A graduate of Berklee College of Music, she holds a Bachelors degree in Performance, Summa Cum Laude.
Elena's notable performances have included appearances at The Blue Note, Symphony Hall, NYU Skirball Center, the Berklee Performance Center, the Agganis Arena, the Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Center, and the 2014 Fresh Grass Music Festival. She has had the pleasure of sharing the stage with Tony-award winning actress Patina Miller (Pippin, Sister Act), Constantine Maroulis (Rock of Ages), Richie Goods (Chris Botti) and jazz vocalist Jacqui Naylor.
Most recently, Elena finished up tours of the Caribbean, South America, Australia, New Zealand and Europe while playing drums and working as a bandleader for Holland America Cruise Lines.
Elena can be found accompanying different songwriters and bands at music venues through out New York City including The Bowery Electric, Rockwood Music Hall, Pianos, The Bitter End, The Shrine, Don’t Tell Mama and many more. She is currently working as an active sub in NYC theater scene, where she lends her drumming to the Off-Broadway musical Cagney. Other Off-Broadway credits include Chix 6 and A Taste of Things to Come.
