David Goldblatt is a Los Angeles based composer/pianist who has recorded and performed with a broad spectrum of artists such as: Gino Vannelli, Jing Chi, Diana Ross, Mark Isham, Roberta Flack, Patti Austin, Tribal Tech (Scott Henderson & Gary Willis), Vinnie Colaiuta, Larry Carlton, Sheena Easton, Pete Escovido, Andy Narrel, Victor Bailey, Ernie Watts, Lee Ritenour, Stanley Clarke, Dizzy Gillespie, Wayne Shorter, Joe Sample, Tom Scott, Alphonse Mouzon Stephen Stills, Joe Walsh, Jazz Crusaders, Rick Margitza, Flora Purim and Airto Moriera, Madeleine Peyroux and many more.
David released his first CD, Facing North, on Sweet Basil records in March 1996. He scored the Showtime series Defenders and won critical acclaim for his music and partnership with composer Mark Isham on the CBS series EZ Streets. His ongoing friendship and association with Isham has featured David on many collaborations in the past 12 years. David has earned a broad based alliance and respect from all those he has worked with including: Dennis Miller on The Dennis Miller Show, as Musical Director; The Chevy Chase Show; and a world tour with Diana Ross, as Musical Director, Arranger, and Keyboardist, which included a live CD and a concert video for HBO.
Other TV and films David has scored include: the PBS documentary Lasting Love; With The Help Of God documentary by director Reuven Fauman; and music for Quaker Oats, AT&T and other commercial spots.
