A Philadelphia native, Christopher Stingle is currently Second Trumpet with the Seattle Symphony Orchestra as well as Principal Trumpet with the Sante Fe Opera. Before joining the Seattle Symphony in 2017, Stingle performed eight seasons as Assistant Principal Trumpet with the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra. He has performed frequently with the Philadelphia Orchestra, New York Philharmonic, Rochester Philharmonic, at the Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival and as Guest Principal Trumpet with the Fort Worth Symphony. Stingle graduated from the Curtis Institute of Music in 2009, studying with David Bilger, and he also attended Temple University, studying with Jeffrey Curnow. Stingle is a Yamaha Performing Artist.
