Michael is a graduate of the Juilliard School where he earned his bachelor's and master's degrees studying with Philip Smith and Mark Gould. He is a freelance musician within the New York, New Jersey, Philadelphia, and Connecticut area playing with the New Jersey Symphony, the Metropolitan Opera, the Philadelphia Orchestra, and the Hartford Symphony. He has also played several shows on Broadway, including Nine, Billy Elliot, Mary Poppins, My Fair Lady, and An American in Paris.
Michael has toured with groups such as the Canadian Brass, the Royal Winnipeg Ballet, the Israel Philharmonic, the New York Philharmonic, and the Philadelphia Orchestra.
An avid brass band enthusiast, he is a member of the prestigious Brass Band of Battle Creek.
Michael is an Adjunct Professor of Trumpet at the William Paterson University in New Jersey.
