Larry Fuller is an internationally acclaimed American jazz pianist, band leader, composer, and clinician known by critics and fans to "swing like a beast!".
A Toledo, Ohio native, Fuller began his musical studies at age 11, immediately showing an extraordinary aptitude for jazz. By age 13, Floyd "Candy" Johnson, a veteran of the Count Basie and Duke Ellington Orchestras, took Fuller under his wing, hiring him for regular paying gigs. In his early years, Fuller became a mainstay on the Midwest jazz circuit, performing frequently in Detroit and Ann Arbor, Michigan.
At 23 years old, Fuller’s undeniable talent earned him the position of musical director and pianist for Grammy-nominated vocal giant Ernestine Anderson. He later went on to perform with renowned drummer Jeff Hamilton’s Trio and legendary bassist Ray Brown’s Trio. Of Fuller, Ray Brown said: "He brings vitality – he swings hard and I like that!". Fuller also toured with guitar-vocal great John Pizzarelli.
Since 2013 - harnessing his unique pedigree of bandstand experience - Fuller has led the Larry Fuller Trio. He presents a musical program rarely experienced live today, consistently praised for his emotive, swinging style, monster technique, and program versatility. Fuller is a Capri Records recording artist, releasing critically acclaimed albums "Larry Fuller" in 2013 and "Overjoyed" in 2019. Both albums were Top-10 on the National Jazz Radio charts for nearly 6 months each. The albums received global accolades, including one of Jazziz Magazine’s albums of 2019.

Larry Fuller is a Yamaha-endorsed Artist. He owns a Yamaha C2 and an MX 80 PE upright as his personal instruments. Throughout his 35-year career dedicated to playing pianos, Fuller has preferred playing Yamaha pianos because of the consistency of quality that Yamaha achieves throughout its entire line of instruments. He also appreciates the strength and durability of Yamaha pianos and the sound, dynamic range, and touch which allow him to express his music to the fullest.
