Andrew Markworth is an active composer and arranger in the marching arts activity. He currently resides in Centerville, OH, where he is the program coordinator, music arranger and percussion supervisor for Centerville High School. Previously, he was the Director of Percussion at West Bloomfield H.S. in West Bloomfield, MI (2009-2012) and the Director of Bands at Centerville High School in Centerville, OH (2005-2008). Andrew was the front ensemble arranger and coordinator at Carolina Crown from 2007 - 2014. He serves as the music director and front ensemble arranger for Rhythm X, a position he has held since 2006. Andrew also serves as the music arranger for the Crossmen Drum and Bugle Corps from San Antonio, TX. He has previously written for the Crossmen Front Ensemble (2008, 2011-2014) and battery (2014).
Andrew graduated from Miami University with a degree in Music Education in 2005. During his time there, he was a member of the Wind Ensemble, Percussion Ensemble, Gamelan Ensemble, Global Rhythms, African Ensemble and Marching Band. During his college years, he played snare drum for the Glassmen Drum and Bugle Corps from 2001-2002 (percussion section leader in 2002), and the Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps in 2004 (DCI World Champions). During the winter seasons he was a member of Rhythm X from 2003-2005 (ensemble captain in 2004 and 2005).
