Bluecoats
Bluecoats
The 'Bluecoats' name and uniform is a subtle tribute to police officers of the Canton, OH Police Boys' Club, which formed its music program in 1972. Making a competitive debut in 1974, the Bluecoats quickly gained national recognition as they toured the country, and were the first corps from Ohio to make it to DCI finals.

- Since moving to Yamaha in 2005, the corps has never placed lower than 7th at DCI Finals and placing 3rd in 2010 and 2014.
- Since the corps began using Yamaha instruments in 2005, the corps has an average placement of 5.2 at DCI Finals. During the previous 20 years, the corps never placed higher than 6th place, averaging a finals placement of 9.8 during that time.

An original member of DCI back in 1972, the current Blue Stars Performing Arts for Youth is committed to developing life skills in young people through education and achievement in the performing arts. Students learn how applying teamwork, dedication, perseverance, goal setting, and discipline, contributes to their success now and in their future endeavors.

The Boston Crusaders
The Boston Crusaders Drum & Bugle Corps, founded in 1940, is the third-oldest junior drum and bugle corps in the nation and is proud to be a founding member of Drum Corps International. The Corps mission is to provide its members an opportunity to reach their highest potential, both as a person and an artist. While providing a healthy balance between education and competition, the Boston Crusaders seek to constantly challenge members to excel every day through a dynamic and unique combination of artistic, athletic, and life goals our members will not find elsewhere.

The Cadets
The Cadets
Founded in 1934, The Cadets of Allentown, PA (formerly of Bergen County, NJ) are one of the oldest and one of the most successful drum corps in history, with nine DCI World Championship wins. The corps is often known for its progressive shows, incorporating innovative moves and non-traditional instrumentation.
In 2000, The Cadets began using Yamaha Brass, were named DCI Co-Champions and won the High Brass Award. After becoming an "All-Yamaha" corps in 2001, they have since won four consecutive High Percussion awards and a Championship victory in 2005.

Carolina Crown
The only Division I corps in its region, Carolina Crown has reached out to fans and music students throughout the southeastern U.S. since 1988. Carolina Crown, Inc. is a non-profit youth organization committed to "developing lifelong excellence in young people through superior and challenging performing arts education experience."

COLTS
The Colts
Founded in 1963 and based in Dubuque, IA, the Colts are seven-time DCI finalists. Interestingly, the corps may have been the first to march to irregular-metered music in 1970. Alongside the Colts division I corps is the Colt Cadets, the only program of its kind geared at musicians from ages 11-17.

Crossmen
The Crossmen
Crossmen first took the field in 1975 as a successful merger between two smaller suburban Philadelphia corps. The corps has been a Drum Corps International Division I World Championship finalist 22 times. As an East Coast organization since its founding, the corps made news in 2006 by moving its operations cross-country to San Antonio, Texas. The corps has been depending on Yamaha since 2001.

The Madison Scouts
The Madison Scouts
Founded in 1938, the Madison Scouts of Madison, WI recently celebrated their twentieth anniversary using Yamaha equipment. One of the only two remaining all-male corps, they proudly uphold rich tradition in their shows. The Scouts' symbol of a fleur-de-lis is homage to the corps' Boy Scout origin. The Scouts are two time DCI World Champions, winning in 1975 and 1988.

The Cavaliers
The Cavaliers
Marching for nearly 65 years, the Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps was founded in 1948 by current corps president Donald Warren. Fondly known as the "Green Machine," the all-male corps has a total of seven championship titles and the record for the most world championship titles in a single decade since the creation of DCI in 1972.

Yamaha And the Drum Corps Activity
Since its founding in 1887, Yamaha has grown to become the world's leading manufacturer of musical instruments and other diverse business fields. To sustain its growth throughout the 21st century, Yamaha is constantly striving to become a truly global enterprise that helps enrich the quality of people's lives worldwide.
Drum Corps "completes" the education circle. Students that join drum corps activities frequently become the next generation of band directors. Which in turn influence another generation of students that join drum corps.
No other music activity has such an opportunity to connect with individuals in such a unique way. Music education is at the heart of what we do at Yamaha. It drives all of our efforts and binds us together as a company. The opportunity to improve the lives of today's young people through music is just one way that Yamaha gives back to the individuals that need it the most. For Yamaha, it is not just about making musical instruments but being able to become directly involved in the way that music is portrayed to today's young people.
Yamaha has been involved with the drum corps activity for over 31 years. At first it was just Yamaha Marching Percussion. Then it became Yamaha Brass. Now it is Yamaha Pro-Audio Systems.
- Longevity ‐ In 2015, The Madison Scouts and Yamaha celebrated a 31 year history of working together. The relationship with The Cavaliers will be 30 years strong in 2016.
- Placement ‐ The corps that use Yamaha have been doing extremely well. Along the way Yamaha Corps have won (16) DCI Championships, (14) High Percussion Awards, and (8) High Brass Awards in World Class competition.
- Commitment ‐ In the beginning there were a limited number of groups using Yamaha Percussion and the competition was tough among musical instrument manufacturers.
- Product Development ‐ Over the years, the number of Yamaha products available to drum corps has grown. Yamaha has taken its time, completed the required testing and ensured that the products that are released to the marketplace are the best possible products available.
