The new YTR-9825 custom piccolo trumpet in the key of A brings a new level of playability, reliability and consistency to all piccolo trumpet repertoire. The YTR-9825 features stable intonation, flexible tuning, a new leadpipe design, new two-piece valve casings, and two sets of leadpipes—one with a trumpet mouthpiece receiver and one with a cornet mouthpiece receiver, for smooth transitions between instruments.

The YTR-9636, in the key of Eb/D, is a perfect companion to the Yamaha Chicago Artist Model trumpets. Its groundbreaking design includes an “S” shape leadpipe and an MC1 leadpipe taper that enable the trumpet to be used as a solo instrument and as a substitute for C trumpets in certain orchestral literature.

This custom C cornet addresses the rising need for cornets in certain orchestral repertoire. Designed with John Hagstrom of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the YCR-9435 has a trumpet mouthpiece receiver and utilizes design elements from the Chicago Artist model trumpets, including the MC1 leadpipe taper, which provides a strong, brilliant and complex sound.

This new custom rotary piccolo trumpet, in the key of Bb/A, is a unique design that brings together ultimate playability, excellent intonation and the warmth of the rotary trumpet sound. It includes a multi-plane adjustable thumbhook and auxiliary finger ring (making it the most ergonomic friendly piccolo trumpet), as well as the new “Light touch” rotor lever mechanism for quick action and response with a minimal effort.

Designed by Brassmeister Thomas Lubitz at the Yamaha Frankfurt Atelier, the new YTR-948FFM Custom Rotary Trumpet in C incorporates a new leadpipe, valve section and “Light touch” rotor mechanism. The YTR-948FFM follows in the tradition of the classic European rotary trumpets yet project a more modern sound.

An upgrade to the 800 Series of custom oboes, the YOB-841L adds an Ebonite-lined upper joint to maximize durability and resist cracking. The instrument offers hand-worked keys, a highly polished bore, hand-tapered tone holes, wooden joint caps and a nickel-silver bell ring. (The YOB-841L will also be available with the optional third octave key as the YOB-841LT.)

The YCL-622II is an upgrade to the YCL-622. By changing the shape of certain key levers, removing particular key posts and adding a Hinge Rod Holder, the new instrument is both more durable and easier to repair (in the unlikely event it becomes damaged). To avoid damage, several levers are now made from harder material. Like its predecessor, the YCL-622II features a two-piece grenadilla wood body that’s resistant to temperature and humidity fluctuations, metal inner tonon sleeves, an adjustable floor peg, and straight tone holes.

The YSL-891Z gives discerning trombone players an instrument with a clear resonant tone and the flexibility to cover a wide range of styles and tonal colors. It features a .508" bore, a new counterweight design and two interchangeable leadpipes. The NY leadpipe is longer and more free-blowing for a wide range of live performance needs, while the LA leadpipe is shorter and easier to control for studio applications.

The YSL-882OR Xeno trombone is boutique-quality at an affordable price. The fixed leadpipe, .547" bore design is based on the successful YSL-882O and GO Xeno models. The YSL-882OR features a wider hand slide, a reversed tuning slide and a new “Balanced Response” rotor system.

The handcrafted Yamaha Electro-Acoustic Violin Outfits encompass two step-up models, the AV10-44SGE and the AV7-44SGE. Both include Yamaha’s acclaimed VNP1: a dual-sensor grounded bridge pickup permanently attached to a high quality Aubert bridge blank and connected to a unique, single barrel, side-mounted jack. The VNP1 is the only pickup system of its kind to provide a fully grounded circuit, almost completely eliminating outside noise and interference due to improper grounding. The single barrel minimizes interference with the violinist’s shoulder rest. These outfits include a ready-to-go instrument, VNP1 pickup, case, bow and rosin.
