Alex Alexander is a first-call session drummer/percussionist residing in New York City. He has performed and recorded with many artists worldwide. Among them: Dido, Eminem, Chaka Kahn, Ritchie Blackmore, David Bowie, Willie Nile, Bruce Springsteen, Jimmy Cliff, Joy Askew, Rickie Lee Jones, Bernie Worrell (P-Funk), Brian Hardgroove (Public Enemy). He performed at Lilith Fair with Sarah Mclachlan, Sheryl Crow, Emmylou Harris, Me'Shell Ndegeocello, Sinead O'Connor, Winona Judd, Chrissie Hynde, Ashwin Sood, Everett Bradley, Jazz Legend Ornette Coleman, and many more.
He has played on many soundtracks for films, mostly notably Cult Classic, "The Search for One-Eye Jimmy"; Multi-Award winning HBO film, "Liberty Kid"; Academy Award Soundtrack, "Born into Brothels"; and HBO award winner, "Forged".
He plays drum set as well as all world percussion and he plays ALL styles of music authentically: rock, pop, funk, hip-hop, singer-songwriter, metal, latin, country, soundtrack, jazz and more!
