Revisions to Yamaha’s Policy on the Environment

The Yamaha Group established “Yamaha’s Policy on the Environment” in 1994, which the Group as a whole has used as a guide in pursuing its environmental protection activities.

From 2010, the Yamaha Group in Japan will work systematically to transform the ISO14001 environmental management systems, for which individual business units have received certification, into a standardized system in order to acquire Group-wide certification. Accordingly, Yamaha has reformed the previous “Yamaha’s Policy on the Environment” to make it suitable for the acquisition of ISO certification.

Based on this revised policy, going forward we would like to work to make a contribution to achieving a sustainable society by acting steadily on environmental initiatives, in step with the economic and society-oriented undertakings that we pursue through our business activities.
